“7個習慣樹”用一棵大樹來比喻孩子一生中要培養的好習慣。從樹根開始從下往上，這7個習慣像一棵樹一樣逐漸長成，分別是：
1. Be proactive
2. Begin with the end in mind
3. Put first things first
4. Think win-win
5. Seek first to understand, then to be understood
6. Synergize
7. Sharpen the saw
下面，來看看對這7個習慣的中英文注解：
第1個習慣：
Be proactive－you're in charge
積極主動，我的人生我負責
I am a responsible person. I take initiative. I choose my actions, attitudes and moods. I do not blame others for my wrong actions. I do the right thing without being asked, even when no one is looking.
我對自己負責，做事積極主動。我管理自己的行為、態度和情緒。我做了錯事不怪別人。不用別人說我也會去做正確的事情，哪怕沒有人在看。
第2個習慣：
Begin with the end in mind-Have a plan
有目標，有計劃
I plan ahead and set goals. I do things that have meaning and make a difference. I am an important part of my classroom and contribute to my school's mission and vision. I look ways to be a good citizen.
做事前我會定計劃和目標。我做有意義和帶來積極影響的事。我是班級里的重要一員，為學校事務做貢獻。我希望成為一個好公民。
第3個習慣：
Put first things first - Work first, then play
做事分主次，先工作，后娛樂
I spend my time on things that are most important. This means I say no to things I know I should not do. I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan. I am disciplined and organized.
我在重要的事情上花時間。不該做的事，我勇于說不。我制定優先級，做日程表，執行我的計劃。我對自己有紀律，做事井井有條。
第4個習慣：
Think win-win - Everyone can win
從互贏角度考慮問題，利己利人
I balance courage for getting what I want with consideration for what others want. I make deposits in others' Emotional Bank Accounts. When conflicts arise, I look for third alternatives.
我勇于爭取自己想要的，但是我同時也會考慮別人的需求。我在別人的情感銀行賬號里放下我的存款。有矛盾的時候，我尋求能平衡彼此需求的解決方案。
第5個習慣：
Seek first to understand, then to be understood
先去理解別人，再求被人理解
I listen to other people's ideas and feelings. I try to see things from their viewpoints. I listen to others without interrupting. I am confident in voicing my ideas. I look people in the eyes when talking.
我仔細聆聽別人的主意和情感。我努力從他人角度去理解問題。聽別人說話的時候我不插嘴、不打擾。我很有信心說出我自己的主意。別人說話的時候，我直視他的眼睛。
第6個習慣：
Synergize － Together is better
協同－合作會更好
I value other people's strengths and learn from them. I get along well with others, even people who are different than me. I work well in groups. I seek out other people's ideas to solve problems because I know that by teaming with others we can create better solutions than anyone of us can alone. I am humble.
我珍重別人的優點，向他們學習。我和大家很好相處，即使他們和我很不一樣。我能有效地進行團隊合作，因為我知道合作比單打獨斗能帶來更好的解決方案。我保持謙虛的精神。
第7個習慣：
Sharpen the saw－Balance feels best
磨刀不誤砍柴工，尋求健康和平衡
I take care of my body eating right, exercising and getting sleep. I spend time with family and friends. I learn in lots of ways and lots of places, not just at school. I find meaningful ways to help others.
我注意飲食、鍛煉和睡眠。我花時間和家人、朋友在一起。我在各種地方都能以各種方式學到很多東西－學習的地方可不止于學校。我用有意義的方式去幫助別人。（轉載自 新東方家庭教育）
